WINTER EVENTS ANNOUNCEMENT

I am excited to announce the following winter events FREE to students !!

SATURDAY WORKSHOP SERIES

***Changing your guitar ­­­strings & Tuning your guitar  – *ALL LEVELS*. 12/01/12 (1:30 – 3:30) Marin county Unitarian church 240 channing way san rafael, CA . 

In this 2 hour workshop, students will learn to change their guitar strings by actually DOING it ! After strings are changed, students will then learn to tune their guitars WITH or WITHOUT a tuner (without a tuner should only be tried by intermediate or advanced students). Students will need to bring a set of strings appropriate to their guitar, a small set of pliers, and a string winder (can be purchased at any musical instrument store that carries guitars). for the tuning part, please bring an electronic tuner (optional but recommended). 

***Lead guitar licks and Riffs from Jimi hendrix, David Gilmour, and MORE!  *intermediate/advanced levels only* 12/15/12(1:30 – 3:00) Marin county Unitarian church 240 channing way san rafael, CA . 

In this 90 minute workshop, students will learn lead licks and riffs from the great guitarists of the 60’s through today, including pink floyd’s david gilmour, Jimi Hendrix, Queen’s Brian May, and Eddie Van Halen. Students should bring an electric guitar and amplifier if they have one. This class will be a fairly fast moving class, so it is recommended for intermediate and advanced students only. 

AND, I am extra excited to announce

WINTER RECITAL 2012 – Thursday December 6th, 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Marin county Unitarian church 240 channing way san rafael, CA .

Students will get a chance to show their stuff in the winter recital. Kids will perform solo acts, group acts, and get an opportunity to Jam with ME in the lead guitar JAM section of the performance. There will also be a raffle, with prizes such as – 1st prize – a line 6 Flextone amp and floorboard(previously owned by yours truly). 2nd prize – One 45 minute private lesson with ME. 3rd prize – A guitar players gift basket.
